Can You Give Me Ten Places To Visit In Spain ?

Can you give me some Key towns and places of interest and Things to do in Spain. I am hiring a car and can use any public transport aviliable.

Here are the ten places to visit in Spain from my own experience:
1. Madrid, the capital of Spain (really worth seeing).
2. Malaga, although being a tourist resort, has many interesting places to visit.
3. Marbella, also a tourist resort, but there you can see bullfighting, if you like that.
4. Granada, ancient city with it´s marvellous castle Alhambra. If you haven´t seen Alhambra when visiting Spain, you can´t say you know Spain very well.
5. Barcelona, especially the “unfinished church” by Gaudi, just something you REALLY must see!
6. From Barcelona, take a boat trip to the island Majorca, a beautiful island, especially places like Formentor and Soller. There are old trains going to Soller, a very nice, former fishermen´s village. The train trip itself is so interesting, you get to see a lot of the beautiful landscape of Majorca.
7. Palma de Majorca, the capital of the island, offers you very interesting views. The church in Palma is also a “must see” thing. In Palma you can experience a lot, depends on yourself, how active you are in exploring the city.
8. Valldemosa, a small village on Majorca, where the composer Chopin lived, for some years with his love (sorry, can´t remember her name right now, but she was famous too, she was always dressed in men´s clothes, does that ring a bell to you?).Their home is now a museum.
9. If you have a chance, drive (or take a train) from, for instance Barcelona, (when you have returned from Majorca by boat, you can of course also fly) through Spain up to the city in north, the harbour city La Coruña by the Atlantic Ocean. La Coruña is quite near the border of France and not very far from the north of Portugal.
On your trip to La Coruña you will see a great deal of the beautiful Spanish landscape.
10. Enjoy the Spanish food wherever in Spain you are. The tapas bars, the luxurous and also the ordinary Spanish restaurants, they all have good Spanish food.
Another thing you should not miss, is the Flamenco dance, it´s the landmark of the Andalucian area of Spain.
The last thing on my list is that I really hope you will RELAX and ENJOY your visit to Spain. You will never forget it, I never have.(Greetings from a former tourist guide working in Spain, I´m not Spanish.)

I don’t know when you are visiting or where you’re flying or driving into nor your likes and dislikes, but Madrid is amazing, but it’s a capital city so you need more than a day. Barcelona is also fabulous, Gaudi’s architecture is stunning, I don’t like it personally but it’s something to be seen, Santiago de Compostela is a very religious place, The Alhambra Palace has to be seen, but book your tickets first, Cadiz is great if you like windsurfing, wild, deserted beaches etc. Malaga is very special, but I’m prejudiced because I live there.
Wherever you go enjoy yourself, take your time to enjoy the atmosphere, the food and try to talk to the locals. Your holiday will be so much better for mingling with the Spaniards.

Malaga, Alicante, Girona, Granada, Cordoba, Valencia, Murcia, Seville, San Sebastian and Barcelona are all worth visiting. I have to admit though, that some of these places are some distance apart, so you may not be able to do them all in one trip.
