real madrid vs tenerife 5-1Goals – Highlights 27 02 2010 Merengues go with 2 pionts of the top

Real Madrid seek their seventh consecutive win over Tenerife on Saturday when the two sides square off in the Canary Islands for a La Liga clash. The Merengues are within two points of leaders Barcelona after last week’s 6-2 thrashing over Villarreal, and they have now won five consecutive league matches to accompany their rise in the standings. Tenerife, after a heavy 4-1 defeat at Athletic Bilbao last weekend, sit second from bottom of the table at least a point from the safety zone. They have not beaten Real Madrid since February 1998, and they have just one win in their last 10 games this season. José Culebras is out suspended for Tenerife after his red card against Athletic last weekend, but he figures to be the only major absence for José Luis Oltra’s side. Guti and Karim Benzema remain out yet again for Madrid, but Lassana Diarra is back in the squad and should start. In addition, Álvaro Arbeloa is out due to suspension, and Fernando Gago continues to be a long-term absence. Though Madrid may have a tough time after a long trip to Tenerife, they should have no problems emerging with three points fromm the game. sourse : soccerway.com
