Save our spuds!
The archipelago is famous for its potatoes and to ensure their long-term survival the Cabildo has implemented two initiatives to conserve local and sweet potatoes via the Centre for the Conservation of Agricultural Biodiversity (CCBAT), which was established in Tacoronte in 2003 to promote the recovery and preservation of traditional farming throughout the island.
